Leitchy June 20, 2012 5:09 PM

Right troops that's me getting stuck into this event as I was nowhere near the last location!

Let's make sure we finish top 5 at least again. Could really do with some more cool aircrafts so every little counts.

Great site and really glad I joined.

What does weight do when i upgrade my plane

Leitchy June 20, 2012 5:35 PM

Hey Breanna,

When you reduce the weight of the plane it means it costs less to fly (less fuel) and therefore means you will make more of a profit from each flight.

captainrapton June 20, 2012 7:33 PM

Well, the Brisbane thing was a grand success, but I did at least 21 jobs for the crew and my prize hasn't come in. Any idea when it might, or did we drop out of the top 10?

[Nope, we ended #3 in the world thanks to the awesome contributions of members like you in the JAYISGAMES Flight Crew! Enjoy your prize :) -Trinn]

captainrapton June 20, 2012 7:39 PM

Dang, that's creepy irony. I posted about not getting the prize and the prize arrives. Good luck to all in Casablanca!

how come my stats graph never moves? .__. im level 6 right now cause i just started today...

https://www.google.com/accounts/o8/id?id=AItOawlJx3Mkbe0nsVmKjcPUwk8Qekp6R0kdwt8 June 21, 2012 12:30 AM

we're #2 in the world now! O: too bad i cant help tho ): my airports are all in N America...

While Im not sure how often the graph updates I do know that at level six you dont have enough data for the graph to move. For one day thats a lot of progress keep it up! :D and dont worry about the events, for now just just buy airports in your region! once you feel like you have enough airports then you can close the ones with low populations or jobs and buy the airports required for the event! I would recommend you wait until you have about 8-10 airports to consider expanding into other regions!

add my gamecenter ID : JanJ2011

Ill give you parts for airplanes in case you need any, PEACE

Oh nooo my phone never showed me that comment! LOL oh wells :D

I have 5 supergophers and one warhawk on level 7 im proud of myself heehehe and thanks for answering my question.

Thanks Janu
Does anyone know what to do about a stuck layover? I closed the airport its supposed to go to. But the layover is still sitting in another city

anouh321 June 21, 2012 7:56 AM

Hi guys, i need help. I want to expand to another continent. i started in North America, and now i want to go over to Europe. how can I do this without any planes that can travel that far? Thanks

> Does anyone know what to do about a stuck layover? I closed the airport its supposed to go to. But the layover is still sitting in another city

Just touch the little red (x) button next to the job's icon. That will remove its leftover status, and it will disappear from the available jobs once you leave the jobs screen.

If you accidentally remove leftover status and wish to reinstate it, just load and then unload the job again before leaving the jobs screen.

anouh321: You can expand your airlines into 2 continents without having any aircraft that can travel between the two continents, just purchase an airport where you want one in Europe.

However, it would be a better strategy to expand your airline gradually, adding airports only far enough away to still be able to connect to them. You can either expand up across Greenland, or down through South America and across Africa to get to Europe from North America.

anouh321 June 21, 2012 8:34 AM

Thanks Jay!! now i know what to do. one last thing, what type of planes do you suggest is most profitable to buy?

Does anyone know what the color of the flight path on the map represents? Some of my flight paths are red and some are green. I've even seen a blinking green path and I can't figure it out.

What planes you buy is really a strategic decision based on what you have currently and what you need. I would recommend a mix of smaller and larger capacity planes. Use the small planes to get the 25% bonus, and the larger planes to shuttle jobs to hubs where the small planes can finish the job. I believe you should always strive to get the 25% bonus. Make that the highest priority.

That said, so far my favorite planes are the Kangaroo and the AeroEagle, and I usually like the M model planes. I've found that it's easy to get into tight, inefficient situations when running C and P models. But that's probably just due to my poor planning.

Flight paths in green indicate the aircraft that is currently selected. Red flight paths are everything else. I think you will find that the green path is always flashing.

smjjames June 21, 2012 11:19 AM

@jonathan: The rank within the crew doesn't matter as long as you have done a minimum of 5 jobs. The ranking of the crew against other crews is what determines the prize

I started my airline in the northeastern part of North America. I am a lvl 14 now and a little concerned that I haven't expanded to Europe I have expanded to southeastern and southwestern north America and I have an airport on the northern tip of south America. What is the best way to expand into europe

Hm i highly doubt its possible because class 1 planes cant make the trip. For instance the only way to get into europe from south america is to fly from the north eastern tip of south america, all the way to the north western tip of africa. From there you you have to build an airport at either casablanca or algiers but preferebly Algiers because its class 2. Reminder though this for class 1. try out the range for different aircraft and you might get lucky.

I wouldn't worry too much, you're still early in the game, believe it or not. I found that everytime I expanded, it took me some time to adjust to the new destinations and figure out a 'system' for improved efficiency, thus taking a hit in my revenue production.

I started in Brazil, so the natural expansion route for me was Recife to Lagos and then across Africa and up through the Middle East to Europe, even though I'm also up through Central Americal to Seattle in the north. As it is, I'm only just up to Spain in Europe to feed Casablanca at this time, and I'm approaching level 20. I still don't feel as if I have a strong grip on my new territory to maximize its output. So, now I'm reinforcing some of the airports I already have to allow for more jobs and layovers so I can do what I want, because I keep running into limits.

You might be better served to wait until you have some aircraft that can handle the long distances between continents and worry about expanding then. I think there are a lot of different ways to play this game, so your mileage may, of course, vary.

Thanks, I'll expand south a bit more until I have planes can make the trip. 2 more questions, When the time comes should I expand into Africa and go from there. Also most of my airports are class 2 airports. When I expand into other regions should I close some of them especially the ones that are close to each other like the class 2 airports around New York to open new airports in other regions

I think you'll know when the time comes to expand. Keep in mind that the farther away 2 cities are, the higher the fare the job will be worth, so you'll want to reach far and wide. Whether that's down across Africa, or across Greenand and down through Europe, I don't know if it will make much difference. I've not attempted to go through Greenland so I can't say which is better.

I did eventually close some of my smaller airports in my starting region, as there were far too many of those appearing in job lists of far away. I dont believe it's efficient to service many local airports clustered together once you have an intercontinental airline. At first it's essential, but that changes once your reach improves.

Bottomline this is one of THE most unique games out there. No one plays the game the same way as another. Jay and others can only Provide tips and tricks to more efficient gameplay but overall decisions have to be made by you! when you feel comfortable and feel like you have a pretty badass airline relative to your level, go for the expansion!

On another note Jay, you think its possible to create a "spoiler" where people can request and auction parts? almost like market outside of the game. Ive tried to make a post showing all the parts i have availabe but I dont know how to do it :/

Food for thought!

Jedicatty June 21, 2012 6:44 PM

Hey all,

I've just started playing and am currently level 9. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for all the tips and hints above. It's been so helpful!

Please add me in the game Center, any help would be greatly appreciated!
My username is: JEDICATTY

I have a couple of level 1 planes that I have retired. Would anyone like them?

Even with 4 passenger or cargo spaces, it still is a waste of buxs because it travels so slowly that you don't get as much profit per hour as shown in the logs

I love the Kangaroo, and I've got it working nicely for me. It's a real work horse.

Here's my tip: don't use your class 1, slow moving planes for traveling long distances. Use them as shuttles from your major international hubs to local airports. They don't need to be fast to get the 25% bonus each time.

anouh321 June 21, 2012 11:26 PM

Hi guys I need suggestions.
right now i'm lvl 13 with 12 airports (two class 2, one class 3, the rest class 1)

12 planes (one class 2 in the hangar as it is not very useful yet due to most of my airports are class 1).

I'm in North America now and i have 43k. Should I....

a) get 2 class 2 airports
b) get 1 class 3 airport
c) expand to europe through greenland

What do you guys think?

When I put into play my first class 2 plane, I loved how big and fast it was. But then I soon discovered that it was a real disruption to my nice, tight knit group of local airports that were well-oiled and producing revenue nicely. My revenue per hour plummeted as I struggled to adjust to the new class of plane and its limitations as well as its power.

Looking back, that was the best decision I made. There's a point in the game when you out grow the small, local network the game requires you to build early on when revenues are slow and difficult to accumulate. Advancing to the next class of plane is disruptive and you'll have to change the way you've been playing, but it's necessary in order to advance at a faster pace than you started at.

What you do is ultimately up to you, and it should be your decision. When you start to feel that you've outgrown your local airline system you've built, then take the plunge, add some higher class airports and bring the bigger plane out and put it to use.

You may struggle a bit to tame the monster you unleashed, but it will be rewarding when you do. :)

I have a Question. How can you raise the population of a city?

superdave0531 June 22, 2012 11:00 AM

Hi guys! I've been following your forum for about a week now and Pocket Planes has changed my sleeping habits *laughs* I've taken part in the last 2 global events since I started playing, and I love how well our crew is doing especially w/ the Casablanca movie shoot stuff :) This game has pushed my Tiny Tower off the #1 play slot and probably isn't moving for a long while.

If you'd like to trade parts of something of equal value of Mohawk P and C in my parts shed that I've collected but aren't using.

You can find me as Superdave0531 in game center if you'd like to add me to your list! Look forward to teaming up with you guys!

@Kevin: I don't believe the populations change in the game. Ever. You can upgrade the airport, which will attract more jobs and allow for more layovers, but the size of the population it serves remains constant (which appropriately mirrors the real world).

@superdave0531 (and others new to JIG): Welcome! And thanks for helping the JIG flight crew! We're doing awesome thanks to your help. :)

It Realy doesnt though cause There are maney cities it under populates. besides that, Citys Populations constently fluctuate in real life due to emmigration and immigration death and all that.... i think the population should start at what is is and than build from what activity you have there so you can build and truely emprove your own country.... kinda like your own civilization.

It wouldn't surprise me if NB added that feature in a later update...but if they do, will hopefully be a very *very* gradual change over a long time.

Yah of cores i just want to see the .00 Change after a couple weeks at least. or keep that real too would be ok... im just saying do something with it cause population in the real world doesnt change and we need to see progression, something to work for after we have all the planes and all cities.

i definitely agree it should last though.

Your planes don't have enough range to fly between Casablanca and Cordoba? You only need one of them to fly between those two cities, and you don't have to fly it there from an existing airport. You can "magically" start it from one of them after you hangar it. As for bux, you'll need a couple. Play the game for 10-15 min and you'll have it. Even if someone gifted you the plane, you'd still have to pay the "fly" fee to get it out of the hanger.

So no, I'm not yet convinced that you "know that".

It's a new game so almost all of us are still learning something and, although it's super fun, figuring out some of the finer points can be a bit frustrating. Let's try to keep sarcasm out of comments, though, please.

We have an awesome JIG community. Thank you guys for all your efforts and cooperation!

Also, maybe Trinn can add an "Ins and Outs of Gifting and Receiving planes and parts (and using the Game Center)" section into the walkthrough. *wink-nudge*

[Point taken :) - Trinn]

Huh? What part of my comment was sarcastic? (I mean, I consider myself an expert at sarcasm and can wield it like a finely-tuned blade, but I'm reasonably certain that I didn't use any up there^.)

That said, if ever there is a reasonable place to use sarcasm, it is in response to "someone send me a plane" type comments.

[This was not specifically directed at you, Jonathan; I know you've been very helpful here. This is, on the whole, a very positive thread, too. A few notes of sarcasm—or what comes across as that—have popped up and since a lot of people are coming here for help, we want to keep up that positivity and cheerful vibe. ;) Thanks! ~elle]

Thanks Elle, and yes please don't be sarcastic.

superdave0531 June 22, 2012 5:54 PM

I figured I'd close my airports in Australia after the world event there in order to open up Madrid, Algiers and Barc for the Casablanca event and moved my Australian fleet there. The only class 1 airport I have open now is Casablanca, and I have most of my class 1 planes (including my P.40 from our crew's winnings in the last event woot!) doing short runs from those cities to Casa.

Even if I have to idle a plane through 1 or 2 job cycles, it's almost guaranteed I'll have a full flight to Casa by the next run. That's where I've been making most of my money. I've been using the same philosophy with my North American fleet as well. Patience is golden!

Class 3 aircraft

You should get access to your first Class 3 aircraft, the Fogbuster, at Level 20.

I just thought you might like to know. :)

Do you think they would ever add Antarctica? It would be pretty cool! :)

They tried, but those penguins were penny pinchers.

superdave0531 June 22, 2012 6:56 PM

@ Jay DANG!!! level 20? :-/ .... 7 1/2 more levels of grinding... well... I guess I'd better get used to my class 2 stuff then.

I didn't experience any revenue drop because I noticed the rate of collecting bux is a lot faster than earning gold coins. This means I can buy more advanced planes and replace the ones with inferior capacity and range.

I am currently at level 10 (in just 2 days) and my approach is to shut down almost all Class 1 airports and only operate the ones in the larger cities. Because of this, my most important criteria is the range of the airplane.

And don't get me wrong, that 25% bonus is important!! If you constantly get 25% bonus, you make the same money by travelling 4 times instead of 5 times which is a huge difference over time. And as you all know, you get even more revenue as the distance between cities are farther away so you really want to have that 25% bonus at long-range travels.

Here's my list of how to wisely spend the money from the most important order:
1. More planes (much, much more important than opening up a new airport)
2. Building relatively small capacity, but wide range planes
3. Closing down airports with small population

Some of the traps that I noticed:
1. Logs - the revenue/time flown is deceptive in a way that it favors planes that have high speed. The correct criteria would be revenue per total time using the app.
2. Building more airports, especially Class 1's. At least 1/3 of the time there are not enough passengers or even complete lack of jobs which is frustrating.

Guys what do i do with beijing? XD just askin

cschae24 June 23, 2012 12:00 PM

I am finding it a slow learning game but am trudging on to give it a try. I have a question that may or may not be important but just want to know what it means when there is a little blue dot by a passengers name or a city on the map is filled in with a blue dot? Not all cities have tham at all times nor all passengers. Can you tell me?

Dear Nimblebits,

Love your game. But please add an Unload All button to the Jobs screen. That would reduce the amount of scrolling I must do on each landing.

Thank you!

@ cschae24: I am pretty sure a black dot means it is a level 1 airport, blue dot means level 2 airport and red dot means level 3 airport. Hope that helps!

> "What does it mean when there is a little blue dot by a passengers name or a city on the map is filled in with a blue dot?"

Blue cities are Class 2 cities, Red cities are Class 3, while Black/grey cities are Class 1.

The class of city is important because it determines 1) what class of plane may land there, 2) how many layovers you can 'store' there, and 3) the number of jobs that may appear there.

Red cities serve the largest populations, blue the next largest, and black the smallest.

I just wanted to say hi. I happened to find this forum quite by chance. I have loved the tips. I restarted my game while at level 9 because the sister has decided to play. I have addicted her to Tiny Towers, and hopefully this. My sister and I are on even playing field and hopefully soon will start world events as I work my way up faster than before. Now the dilemma is do I tell my sister about this site tonight or Monday... heehee. Competition.
Oh, and thank your for the tips....

Welcome to Jay Is Games, Lvira! Glad to hear you're enjoying the guide, and please feel free to join the #JAYISGAMES flight crew if you haven't already. The more the merrier :) Let me know if you have any questions or if you need any plane parts! (I'm _Trinn_ on Game Center)

Just a query:
So I am operational around Australia and south Asia, but I opened 2 Airports in Canada and 1 in Seattle. Should I keed expanding in the US/Canada, or keep going with Asia? I have 8 planes in Australia/Asia

Ahh guys, the game hasnt been working for me for the past 2 days. Everythings shows up but nothing i touch works. Guess im going to give it a while and hopefully itll be fine

That happened to me once, what I did to fix it was this:

First, make sure you're running the latest version (check for updates in the App Store app). If you're running the latest version, then try this:

  1. Tap the home button to return to the home screen.

  2. Double-tap the home button to display the currently running apps in a drawer along the bottom of the screen.

  3. Press and hold on the Pocket Planes app until the icons start jiggling.

  4. Touch the red (-) button on the top left corner of the Pocket Planes app to remove it from memory.

  5. Tap the home button once to stop the jiggling, then double-tap home to hide the bottom drawer.

  6. Now re-launch Pocket Planes and hopefully everything will be fine again

The Atlantic is pretty far, you're going to need a monster of an aircraft to get across. I haven't yet crossed the Atlantic, so I'm not sure what planes will cross it.

I can gift you part of a Fogbuster, those parts are 30 Bux each, and another 30 Bux just to build it. And you can only fly them from Class 3 airports.

Nope didnt work :( thanks tho

Have you tried restarting your device? Hold down power + home until the apple logo appears then let go and let it reboot.

Yeah tried it a couple of times, no use :( this is heartbreaking literally LOOL and i really dont want to start all over again <\3

I'm sorry that happened to you. You might want to post on Nimblebit's support forum about it. Maybe someone else has had the same issue, and maybe there will be a fix for it coming in an update. One can only hope.

Sadly i didnt get the huey

Wait for a bit, it just takes time.

Only got huey controls xD

flummii June 24, 2012 6:19 AM

I just got the prize a second time for Casablanca...

eytanzweig June 24, 2012 6:58 AM

I've gotten the award for Casablanca about 8 times so far...

They gave me 2 hueys and 3-4? Xtra controla which i sold xD

It's an exploitable bug i hope it happens again in the next event xD

Hello all, i started playing this game 2days ago and yesterday I participed in the event of casablanca but I havent recieve the prizes and I send like 8-12 ppl. So idk. Btw. Add my in gamecenter Jog4m

I crossed the Atlantic between Recife and Monrovia with a class 1 plane. Are you trying to cross it further north?

happycamper*5 June 24, 2012 1:10 PM

Hi everyone. I was wondering how long it usually takes to receive game rewards. I was helping out on the Casablanca event & I still haven't gotten mine.

Love the site, too. I was able to correct a few mistakes I've been making with the game so far. :)

Thanks, I'm glad you found the site helpful! As for the global event, I think you should have received the prize already. Try exiting from the game and reconnecting.

To be eligible for the global event prize, you must complete at least 5 jobs (highlighted in blue).

sitroniste June 24, 2012 2:16 PM

i have gotten my reward 4 times... dont know why :)

should we get rid of all class 1 airports and planes over time? or should we keep them?

JEEE SUSSSS IS WORKING AGAIN!!! anyone want a huey engine? Dont really want it :o and when you guys add me on gamecenter, let me know what part you want in the little message box so I can get them to you right away!

[Yay! I'm very glad to hear this! :) -Jay]

Anyone know what levels you get the pearjet or Aeroeagle

The Pearjet is first available at Level 14 and the Aeroeagle is Level 16. You can find a list of every plane by level in the walkthrough above the comments. Go to Tips and Tricks > All About Planes > Complete List of Planes Available for Purchase By Level

https://www.google.com/accounts/o8/id?id=AItOawkG4cmdr5y6Uowy4YDVk4asYLXutRWH06w June 24, 2012 3:57 PM

I'm currently super addicted to this game. My game center name is pezkingjs
So add me If you would be interested in switching parts and planes
So far I've been doing flight crew by myself just to see where I can get to
I think once the next event after Santiago I'm gonna join jay is games
So it would be nice to have people on my side

Thanks for the huey part!
One question in Which level start the class 2 planes? And what is the best strategy to go to Santiago? Im in europe

https://www.google.com/accounts/o8/id?id=AItOawkG4cmdr5y6Uowy4YDVk4asYLXutRWH06w June 24, 2012 5:08 PM

Class 2 planes are level 10 is when they first show up
As for getting from from Europe to satiago I think that would
Be impossible to do that at your level
What you would do is open the airport at Santiago and another near
There Move one of your planes from Europe to the hanger
And then from the hanger you can move it to south America

Hi! Thanks for posting all the great info about this new game. I found your site when it was released and been part of the team for the last couple of events, and thought it time to chime in.

My game center name is Okmyx. I have tons of parts to give away, so if anyone wants anything just ask.

I started in Europe, and since then have airports from Honolulu to Brisbane, with Cairo, Karachi, Bangalore, Singapore, Melbourne, Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas, Hilo, New York, Madrid, Barcelona, Algiers, Lagos, Rio de Janeiro, Guatemala, and Santiago rounding out the rest so far (and Casablanca but I intend to close it soon). I think that's all. I didn't find it that difficult crossing the atlantic from New York to Madrid, and I've done it again in the south since the new event started to provide two paths to Santiago. I did upgrade Madrid and intend on doing the same with Barcelona and either Cairo or Algiers, as it seems easy to have a central location for hubs to store and cross ship loads, though I always find myself at the limit no matter how many it can store!

happycamper*5 June 24, 2012 6:51 PM

Hi Jay. Thanks for responding! I think my last count for completed jobs was 330, so I did do at least 5. :)

If by disconnecting, you mean closing the game, I've done that too, and still nothing.

In previous events it has been reported that people did not receive their event reward due to Game Center lag. It's possible you may be experiencing the same issue.

If so, you can try contacting NimbleBit at this link, or by creating your own topic on that forum. An employee there can investigate the bug and recompense you.

Made some bold moves today.

Shut down almost all airports and used the money to open up Class 3 airports and a couple of important Class 2 airports in between as a hub.

I realized a lot of money comes from having the 25% bonus and owning a variety of airports doesn't help with this at all. In fact, I only scroll down the screen more since there are so many destinations with few passengers.

By cutting down all the small- and mid-sized airports, I get a concentrated demand for certain cities which is suitable for the big-capacity planes going for 25% bonus.

captainrapton June 24, 2012 10:48 PM

Well guys, looks like I'm going to miss this party. I don't have any airports to close and my airplanes don't have the range to make it to this event. I'll either try to level up or wait for the next one. Good luck guys!

@captainrapton and anyone else wanting to participate,

If you still want to participate, and you have the extra bux and coins to do so, just remove your planes to the hangar, then close a few of your airports.

Next, open an airport in Santiago, Buenos Aires and/or Sao Paulo.

Then, go into your hangar and "fly" those planes, starting in the city/cities you chose near Santiago. One is enough to allow you to participate, but having at least two or more planes (evenly divided between cargo and people) would give you the most profit for your bux. ;-)

There's a few days before the event is over... if I'm not mistaken, you can join almost any time before the event ends as long as you have enough time to do 5 or more jobs.

Hope you can make it!

Edit: I just re-read your comment and I see I missed part of it, sorry about that! Which airports do you currently own?

sitroniste June 25, 2012 10:11 AM

does anybody know if i open a new airport, will there be more jobs on the other airports or will they just be more spread ?

[When you open a new airport, more jobs will appear at the other airports. The lists of jobs will get longer the more airports you open. -Jay]

captainrapton June 25, 2012 10:41 AM

@elle I have fairly profitable airports on every continent and many countries...Except South America :P

https://www.google.com/accounts/o8/id?id=AItOawkG4cmdr5y6Uowy4YDVk4asYLXutRWH06w June 25, 2012 11:14 AM

I'm trying to save up 2,000 bux which would yield 3,000,000 coin

Hi, all. Just joined up on the crew for this event. I am lvl 11 in the North American SW and am working on a 'bridge' of airports down to the ones I opened in Santiago/Cordoba.

I have been reading the posts here for a while now, and the walkthrough. Thanks to everyone for being so helpful! I have learned a lot from lurking around.

I am MomGinny on gamecenter, if anyone wants to add me. I am not currently looking for airplane parts but am willing to send out the ones I find from opening airports. :)

Does anyone know what happens when you complete 1000 of the events? (And for anyone like me up until recently didn't notice this, click "menu", "events", then the check mark to see your progress on the 45 events.) I wonder if it's just a completion thing or if it earns an award/reward.

Psykobutcher June 25, 2012 1:18 PM

Hello to all,
Great game and sorry for the stupid question : how do you participate to an event?
I click, it brings me to the map. I tick it brings me to names of event but i cannot choose them.
Thanks in advance

elle June 25, 2012 1:38 PM replied to Psykobutcher

To join a global event:

  1. Go to the "Flight Crew" on the menu screen and enter in JAYISGAMES as your flight crew.

  2. Next, go to "Events" and select the event highlighted in blue.

    • If you don't already have an airport in that event's city (as well as another airport nearby), you will be prompted to buy them.

    • When you have an airport in the event city, and one within flight range, then look for jobs that are highlighted in bluethose are the ones you need to complete to participate.

That should work for you, but if it's not, it could be you need to adjust your Game Center information or try checking on Nimblebits' support page.

superdave0531 June 25, 2012 1:53 PM

@Psycho You have to own an airport at the event site in order to ship into, or out of it. When you click on the event name it takes you to the map with that airport in center view so you can see it. If you own an airport at that site already it'll take you to your airport scene. If you do not own an airport there, it'll ask you to purchase it when you touch the map.

Anyone interested in moonlighting?

Currently, there is an event (nonglobal) in Lima. It's a good side job to join if you have an airport and the plane range to do it.

You'll be shipping things from Lima to Santiago for the "Archaeological Dig" global event. Then, on the return trip to Lima, you'll have extra jobs for the "Money Transfer" event.

Elle & superdave: thanks. I can see the blue highlighted.
Last question: right now, there is an event in Istambul and I own this airport. Impossible to participate I guess? If jayisgames does, I could, right?

So far as I've seen, there is only one global event (with prizes) at a time. That is what you join the JAYISGAMES flight crew to participate in. Those events are highlighted in blue.

The other events are just extras...so if you have another event available in a city you own, you can do that, too, just for the fun of it.

See my comments above about "moonlighting." ;-)

Elle - I have to open Bogota so that I have a chain between N. and S. America, but then Lima is the next airport on my list. I am definitely going to participate in that event!
