Females can have babies until they are 50 in this game. You might want to keep your two remaining females busy if they can still have babies. The only other thing is a random island event that sometimes brings a barrel of babies. You can't control when it happens, though.

You can plant up to 3 fruit trees which should be enough food to keep the villagers going until you are able to get rid of the sharks so they can start fishing. To plant the other trees, you need to repair the lift and then wait for it to rain for it to work.

The Chief will make magic food only once every 24 hours. You need to make sure that you are set up with all the food supplies. Do you have the bee hive and 3 fruit trees? You will also be able to do a potion that gets rid of the sharks so your villagers can fish.

About having babies -

The way to make sure you have babies is to drop the parents onto each other over and over again until you see the population counter go up. Don't wait for them to "go indoors". They can be stubborn, especially if they have no parenting skill. You may have to drop them onto each other 10 times in rapid order, but the female WILL get pregnant if you are persistent enough. In your case, wait for the girl to grow up and then make her have as many babies as she can.

First, your trees will produce more fruit when the first batch gets picked. It usually produces it before the villagers starve. It may say zero food for awhile and villagers will start worrying, but the fruit will come back for them to harvest.
The next food source will be fishing. You need to do a potion to get rid of the sharks. The potion will depend on which faction you have chosen (Nature or Magic). You will also need level 2 Alchemy.

When I got low on food I paused the game, set my clock to the next day, 24 hrs later. I went back to the game unpaused it and then had my chief create magic food. I kept doing this till I had 3000 food. At that point I paused the game again and went back to the correct time and started to play the game again normally. And yes it did work.

Edit: Do this at your own risk. Changing the clock on your computer can not only mess up your game, it can also mess with other computer functions that rely on the computer clock. -Pam

quick question: this is my second time restarting the game from the beginning and i can't seem to find the chief.

i've tried everyone including the pregnant woman and the robe doesn't fit.

am i doing something wrong?

Reply

To JenL:

About finding your chief -

One of your villagers is definitely the chief. Nursing mothers can't try on the robe until they are finished nursing. Also be sure to try it on all of the children. If it doesn't fit anyone, either the nursing mother or baby is the chief. You'll have to wait until they are done to try on the robe.

I even tried some of my just old enough to work ones..:)No one wants to help...ALSO...how do you get the fire to have the diamond in it? I had it happen once, but not in amy of my other tribes, and they have been burning for a long time.

Reply

To hbcalmom:

About the food -

The farmers will not harvest honey if the hive is empty. The honey doesn't regenerate as much as the trees do. The trees will regenerate eventually, usually long before the villagers are in danger of starving if the tribe is relatively small, even if the food goes down to zero. It just takes time for fruit to come back on. In the meantime, try to get enough tech points to get closer to the potion to get rid of sharks so fishing can start. Villagers can be stubborn when being trained. If you have food available, just keep dropping them and they will catch on.

About the diamond -

I've retrieved the diamond at 45 to 50 Isola years. It's just a matter of waiting. When you see white sparkles in the fire, it's time to let it die out.

okay, I have two people, a male and a female, set to parenting, but they will not have a child. is it because they may be too old?

Reply

and also I have 2 17 year olds that refuse to work and when I set an older person on then they go to the theatre for a story - what am I doing wrong?

Reply

To Crissy:

About parenting -

Male villagers can make babies until they are very old. Female villagers will make babies until they are 50. Just setting them to parenting isn't always enough. You'll need to drop on them each other until they gain some experience points. They can be stubborn, so you need to be persistent. You can drop them over and over again without waiting for them to go indoors. Just watch the population counter and it will increase when they are successful.

About teenagers -

Teenage villagers can be very stubborn! You'll need to drop them onto a task several times before they will continue with it. As for dropping an older villager onto a 17 year old, they are old enough to work at age 14, but they don't have babies until they are 18. Until they are 18, they still act like children having a story told when you put an adult on them.

To Jenn:

About your builders -

You can train builders on the existing huts. They will repair the huts and gain building points. I believe you will need a Master Builder to build the scaffolding for the statue, but the others can be Trainee or above. You can also use the energy potion. When taken, it sometimes produces improved building skills. Not always, but sometimes.

About the disk in the secret room -

It's a trickly disk. You're supposed to put a villager on the left side of the sun dial when the sun is shining. I waited for the sun to come out, then dropped the villager on every position where the disk was. After a few moments, the spirits appeared. Then you drop a villager on the spirits to hear their story.

Try exiting the game and going back in. Sometimes that will reset things and make them work. They only need to be Trainee level to work on the statue.

A Master Builder is required to draw up the plans for the statue and also to build the scaffolding. Is there a limit to how many kids you can have once you have all 3 houses built? (There is the clothes hut too but I don't think that affects your population.) I also know that certain things let your population grow like level 3 faction. But is there a max overall?

Reply

To Jamie:

True, the clothing hut does not effect your population limit.

If you have the Nature faction, the population limit is 95. With the Magic faction, the limit is supposed to be 105. I'm currently at 101 and it won't let me increase it, so I'm not sure about the 105 number.

I'd love to have a purple haired tribe, but I don't get many of them, and very few purple haired men.

On my computer, I do a screenshot by hitting the prt sc button (print screen). I go into the Paint program and do Edit, Paste. Then save as a .jpg file and upload to wherever you want.
