sanfaconbp February 14, 2010 5:49 AM

You need a ranch with cows. After a little while the cheese will appear in front of the ranch.

Help! Please!! I can't figure out how to get over to the buffalo. There does not seem to be a place to cross the river that gives me access. I know this is a newbie question but your help is appreciated!

I have just completed Railroad Defense and the next place to go to is Haverbrook. It says I need to rescue father first but no idea how to do this. Sal Turner is in the town but I cannot talk to him or anything. Any ideas what to do?

I can't upgrade my lumper camp why?

I'm trying to bulid my bridge.

mobetta4u -

Have you unlocked the lumber camp upgrade in the store?

sanfaconbp February 15, 2010 2:06 AM

You get across to the buffalo by building a bridge.

After going to Woodinville, you will be able to upgrade your lumber camps and build bridges.

Have you placed your hero in front of Sal?
You will need to speak with him before the story continues.

The blacksmith won't make Super TNT. How do I get him to do it?

mbd: you have to build a bridge, also you have to go to woodenville first, to get your lumber camp upgrade. Its an order sequence you will be ok. I bump my head a few times to figure it out.

Hey thanks grinnyp, i got it thanks .

sanfaconbp February 15, 2010 8:33 AM

There is a bubble over the blacksmith shop - click on that and it will ask if you are ready to buy.

I bought 3 super TNT and they have not appeared anywhere.

But I bought them at the blacksmith.

All these Rats look big to me, I hate Rats, which one is this cocksucker?

is it me? or does anyone else hear a singel flute music like note that goes off, like five times, or somtimes 2 times, every now and then, is that an indication of an event getting ready to happen?

sanfaconbp February 15, 2010 9:50 PM

the TNT should be right in front of the blacksmith shop.

I hate rats, and low and be hold i'm stuck on the rodent flu figures, i'm not in sandslot i got henry i also got the necklace's blew up and dug up everythings, big ben is following me with his big red tail and ears ugh!! can't finds his treasure or the key can anyone help.

also everyone is well, town smelling like a rose @ 130 level and i have the 1000.3 Ver.

The TNT was not there at all. In front or otherwise of the blacksmith shop.

sanfaconbp February 16, 2010 8:20 AM

The only thing I found on discussions at the Sandlot games site that pertain to this situation is when someone said they put another building too close to the blacksmith shop so the TNT was not available for pickup.

sanfaconbp February 16, 2010 8:24 AM

The big rat at rodent flu quest is the not rat that has a key or treasure. This one is suppose to be shot. If you have the necklace and shoot the rat you will complete this part of the quest.

Ok sanfaconbp, ty was banging my head on my keyboard again, good looking out.

I have finished everything but four of the Goods challenges. I have all but one artifact. I made sure I did not leave a challenge without all hidden objects. Is there one in the main town that I have not found?

Also, I have Joseph Clampett in the middle of town, and Jake Kirby at the very top of the screen (playing as Henry). I still have the log so I took it to both... neither would say anything. I have the special log for carving on the 3rd page of building icons so perhaps I finished that log quest. I don't remember. I believe Jake asked for some iron ore, so I took a box from the factory to him... nothing... His little thing flashed on the screen so quickly, I did not comprehend all that he said. What do I do with these two people. lol

Thanks! Your help has been super!!

sanfaconbp February 18, 2010 8:58 PM

K R Lang,
You are very welcome - I do love to help out if I can. This is a great game, and I certainly got more out of it by finding out the answers to all my questions.

Yes, since you have the log on the 3rd page of building icons, you have completed that quest.

The people's name change from one game to another so I don't know who these people are either. One way to find out is on your quest list. Whatever is not done, you can click on it and it should give you information so you will know what to do.

The guy in the middle of the town could be the hat guy or the guy that wants experience with farming and mining. Have you had both of these already?

Also, a guy shows up after you upgrade your train track that wants to handle all your train track repairs, etc. He always has a yellow ring around his feet. He will only talk to you when you have this situation come up.

The guy wanting iron wants the iron from the blacksmith shop - not the box from the factories - I thought that at first too, but he only answers when you bring the iron. Then he will give you something.

The plans for the clock tower.

The hidden artifacts in town are:

There are 4 - playing as Henry they are:
1) In pit where man is digging
2)NE behind rock/log
3)In pen with buffalo
4)Behind rock by gold mine

Hope this helps.

I've got the same problem a few have mentioned, but noone has answered. I've finished all but the last three Marketplace challenges (and just about the entire game), but even though I've been to Brockway, the last three were never unlocked. Can I do anything to get the last three to show up or is it just a glitch? I kept playing, hoping that the little icon above the market would pop up, but it never did. I even built more markets and staffed them with experienced salesclerks, but still nothing. Help!!

sanfaconbp February 19, 2010 2:55 AM

If you will fire the person at the Market Place and then hire him back that should bring up the little bubble again for the last 3 quests. I'm sorry, I did not understand that was the problem you were having.

You are wonderful! lol I found the last hidden object!! Playing as Henry, it was in the NW corner at a camp behind a berry bush! Thank you so much!

I also found the box at the Blacksmith's shop to take to the guy at the top of the page! Now I have the clock. I thought that the box sitting on the ground at the blacksmith's building had always been there! I have never tried to pick it up!

Now all I need are four trophies: Fashionista, Carpenter, Sand Box Disaster Challenge, and Sand Box Railroad Challenge!

This has been a WONDERFUL game! Thank you so much for all your help!

on strike a deal, i kill the wolves but they keep coming back can anyone help me? ty.

Hi, is there a way to leave the "highland" after opening the fish treasure chest?

Is there a way to leave the "highland" after finding the fish treasure chest?

sanfaconbp February 21, 2010 1:15 AM

Yes, just go back the way you came. You will be right where you started from.

sanfaconbp February 21, 2010 1:18 AM

There are a few wolves, but when you shoot them all they should not come back. Sometimes there are bears also. The workers will go to work and that part of the quest is done. If the workers don't go to work, there are still more wild animals.
Hope that helps.

itsjustmepati2 February 21, 2010 12:41 PM

help please... I have completed game but cannot get carpenter trophy..I have upgraded houses/lumber/train/farms/ranches but can't seem to get trophy...I'ts drivin me nuts !!!

sanfaconbp February 21, 2010 1:31 PM

I would suggest that you go to the town information at the top of your screen and see if all the buildings are highlighted.

Do you have the clock tower and the wood sculptures? Also, the lightpole can be upgraded.

Hope this helps.

itsjustmepati2 February 21, 2010 2:47 PM

ahhh ty !!! that was it..forgot that last little upgrade !! and thx for answering so fast..Does anyone know where I can get help on sandbox games..I am at rail road challenge and have a bakery and a skilled farmer working it but I do not get it available at train station..I have even built another and hired a skilled farmer there too and still it the apple seeds? I keep planting trees but no seeds drop..

sanfaconbp February 21, 2010 2:51 PM

Yes, for some reason it seems to be harder to get the pies on the sandbox challenge. When you plant an apple tree, you could use dynamite to get the apples to fall and then get a skilled farmer to pick them up (you need at least 5).

how do I do the railroad challenge in sandbox as I have no idea, cheers and thanx to all in advance :-)

sanfaconbp February 21, 2010 9:30 PM

When you start the game go to the Sandbox - choose your hero and which map you want. Then when your hero first talks to you - you choose which way you want to play. There is the railroad challenge - the disaster challenge or open range. It gives a description of each way. Whichever one you choose it will tell you want you need to do to complete the challenge.
I hope that answers your question.

Lucky_Strike February 22, 2010 7:03 AM

Hi everyone,

Ik have a huge problem. I've nearly finished the game but I can't get to the final showdown quest. How do I trigger it?

Here's where I'm at:
- I've finished all the quests, besides the Train Heist Bounty Quest. I've read that one should pop up regularly, but I've done none because it never ocurred. Does this have anything to do with playing Anne? Maybe only Henry gets these bounty quests?
- I was tired of waiting, so I've already finished Vulcano Valley and got all the fossils. The dino-egg just harched.
- I have not had 10 Railroad Repair Quests, they stopped appearing a while ago.
- Every possible building is built and upgraded, also the trainyard en station are upgraded and employed.

Maybe the most important thing is this. My trains have stopped running! On both tracks, near the sell goods for money guy, a barrier is stopping the trains from going on. This also stops me from getting to 8 town goods trophy.

Si actually I have multiple problems: train stopping, no bounty quests and not enough railroad repairs.

Please help, I need to finish this and I've been waiting for a few hours for something to happen. Thanks!

sanfaconbp February 22, 2010 2:43 PM

What kind of barrier is stopping the train?

Have the dad and brother and uncle gone to check on the towns yet?

Playing as Anne will still give you quests for Railroad Repairs. Sometimes it takes awhile to get those.

The train does need to be running to get to the trigger for the last quest.

Do you have any ! or ? on your screen?

Lucky_Strike February 22, 2010 3:21 PM

@sanfaconbp, it is the same type of barrier that appeared in the quest where you had to drive the train through the bandit camp. There, you had to put a magnet one a square button and that would get the barrier up so the train could pass. I don't know the English word for this think, my dictionary said 'barrier' ;)

I did have the family go check on the towns so that can't be the problem... Also there are no ?'s and !'s on the map since I've finished every possible quest.

I know that with Anne you get railroad repairs, I've gotten a few (not enough for the trophy though), but my problem is not getting any bounty quests...

Thanks for your answer!

Thanks San there's only a few keys left on my keyborad after i been slamming my head on it, no J/K.

Is there a glitch in my game? Stan Smiley is standing right on the side of my coal mine, across from his outpost which is obstruting my coal mine to be built, I cant move him, he's a yellow ring, and whats odd is, i'm still able to sell stuff at Stan's out post.

I'm in "Train Race" and i've got problems to find dynamite.
"You may have to rotate the scene to see the dynamite." .. It may be an idiot question can i rotate the scene? ahum..

sanfaconbp February 23, 2010 9:47 AM

Lucky_Strike & mobetta4u,
I've never had that happen to me. I would recommend the forum at the Sandlot games site. There are more experienced players there that may know what to tell you.

Can someone tell me how to rotate?
I can't find dynamite in the "Train Race"...

sanfaconbp February 23, 2010 6:24 PM

Just hold down your space bar and then use your mouse to rotate it.

Does anyone have a complete list of the trophies and how to get them? I've completed the game, but still have one "unknown" trophy and haven't been able to complete the train track recovery one.

I just finished railroad repo and everyone mentioned they will go back to the other cities. However, my characters are only able to move a limited area. Also, the game has seemed to finish as all tasks are marked completed. I have Yahoo version 1.002. Any suggestions how to get the next version without repurchasing the game?

sanfaconbp February 27, 2010 6:43 PM

Whoever you purchased the game from should have the 1.003 version. They will be able to tell you how to download that version. It should not cost any extra to do that.

Wow, I'm shut down gang, I got this microsoft visual C ++ Run Time Libiray error for a week now, I've been trying to get this off my game, its a thingy were something is jam and won't open up to let WW play and do its thing, can anyone help me? is anyone out there a miracle worker LOL, I can play any other games, its just WW IV so far. Wow it would be the IV well at least I was able to play 3 WW'S.

On the Sandlot game site, they say if you have this error show up to contact the technical department at Sandlot and let them know. They will ask you to run a report and e-mail it to them. They helped me with a technical problem earlier. It only took a few days to take care of it. Hopefully this will help.

i am having a problem with noise ordinance. do you know how to get to woodinville with out doing noise ordinance?

sanfaconbp February 28, 2010 2:20 PM

No, you have to do the steps to get there.

What kind of problem are you having?

I have completed everything except for the disaster challenge, I have actually completed it and it says I won but I did not get the trophy for it, I have done it twice now but no trophy. What are the requirements for getting the trophy? I though if you complete the sandbox disaster challenge you get the trophy but apparently not, what am I doing wrong or is this a glitch? I have the newest version.

sanfaconbp March 4, 2010 6:18 PM

I found this answer at Sandlot game site in answer to a question much like yours. I hope it helps.
"part of the getting the disaster challenge trophy is having a population of 14 before it hits level 3. It took me a few tries to figure out how to get it up that high that fast but as soon as level 6 was completed I was awarded the trophy"

my problem is that when i go to the part where you have to defeat the bandit without the townsperson seeng and you have to go past the bandits after i cant seem to find a way before the townsperson sees the bandits

sanfaconbp March 5, 2010 11:16 AM

The first TNT always explodes when the citizen tries to carry it. It is written for that to happen, so no matter what you do, the first one explodes when the citizen drops it.

There are a couple of ways to successfully do the next 3. The way I like best is to send the hero out next to the edges of the border on the left side. If he/she does not get into a gun fight, then I know I have a good spot to start the citizen. I rope the citizen with one of the gunfighters. I watch the bandits and wait until they leave the area and then send the citizen/gunfighter couple to the area that is safe. I wait until the bandits are clear and do the same thing again. When I have them leave the area that is covered by the bandits - I have them go straight to the place where the citizen needs to drop them. I then let the citizen go back - the bandits will not hurt him/her.
Then I send the gunfighter back the way we came, careful not to stir up a gunfight with the bandits. At this point I also do a save - so that if something happens I don't like I can reload at this point instead of starting all over again.
I do this each time.

I hope this helps. If it does not answer your question, please ask again. Good luck!

Hey Sanfaconbp, just want to say ty, I did what you said, it worked, I'm back up and running thanks again, I owe you a case of bud lite, thanks.

I cant get my banana hat, i unlock all my crops on the farm. I got like 5 farms what am I doing wrong.

I cant belive this i got one coal mine left and stan smiley a yellow ring is standing right in front of my coal, and and i cant bulid a mine, he pose to be at his trade post, now i cant do my coal mine stuff as in getting a 4th skill, this sucks

sanfaconbp March 5, 2010 5:46 PM

Sandlot has just announced that they have released the new version 1.004. If you are having any problem with the 1.003 you might want to download the new version.

Whoever you purchased it from should have this version. Maybe this will solve your problem with the coal mine and Sam.

Also, do you all 5 crops growing?

Ok I got the banana hat WW heads, make sure you grow all the crops, plus the peas, you get the peas when you make a farm were the buffalo's hang out at, then a dude pops up and saids lets grow peas.

San, I got my game from Big Fish, so if I get the the 1.004. do I have to start all over ?

sanfaconbp March 5, 2010 6:23 PM

They said it will keep all your saves unless your screen is frozen, so you should not have to start over again.

I am stuck on Timely Arrival... No more trains are showing up and there are still 3 more needed to arrive. I have great defense and a doctor and simply don't know what I am doing wrong :(

I am stuck at the final showdown. I rescued the uncle and have a blacksmith, but no super tnt. :( What am I doing wrong?

sanfaconbp March 13, 2010 7:40 AM

Have you checked all your railroad tracks?

sanfaconbp March 13, 2010 7:42 AM

Has the bubble shown up over the blacksmith shop to purchase the super tnt? If so, the super tnt should be in front of the blacksmith shop.

Maria Petre March 13, 2010 8:20 PM

At the quest Railroad expansion in the walkthrough says after you talk to the lumberjack build a farm but I can't,all the squares for building are gray, you can't use them.I can play without building anything but why the walkthrough says you have to build things?

sanfaconbp March 14, 2010 12:59 PM

Maria Petre,
The walkthrough is mainly how that person did the game, I believe. You don't have to build anything in this quest, if you don't want to. The only thing that concerns me is that you are not able to build anything. Maybe its because you did not have enough gold/wood to do so.

I never tried it with building a farm, but have built a house and did better with 2 more people. However, I have also done it with only what is there.

Have fun.

help i am save your sibling and i cant seem to get my law men off the horses what do i do ???

sanfaconbp March 16, 2010 6:27 AM

You can build another sheriff's office and hire more deputies.

Maria Petre March 16, 2010 10:48 PM

I found out what the problem was, after I spoke with Wyatt Earp I could build things

lisajamiegirl March 18, 2010 9:16 AM

Does anyone have a walkthrough for rescuing the father using force? I only see it if you chose to use the randsom and I already saved the game to do it the other way...

sanfaconbp March 18, 2010 5:48 PM

Here is how I do it:

(talking as if I am Henry)
I wait until the guard outside the cell is in her room with the door shut, then go through the tunnel to the end of that hall. I let her see me and yell at me to stop and then hurry and turn right - into the guy coming out of his room. I walk past him into his room and shoot it out. I pick up the dynamite. (The other guard won't follow if I hurry and walk on into the room.)

Then I wait until the first guard is back into her room with the door closed and walk to the end of that hallway. I wait in the corner until the guard in the long left hallway goes into his room with the door closed.

Then I go step on the plate that opens the door and go back into the corner. I wait another time until he goes back into his room with the door closed - then go quickly down that hallway to the right to the blockade where the guns are stored.

I blow up the rocks and get the huge gun. I then walk back to the end of that hallway and wait until the guy goes into his room with the door closed and walk north into the top of the screen and right - to get the weight.

I walk to the screened off section made of wood and wait there until the guy goes into his room with the door closed - and then walk all the way down that hallway - past the plate in the floor and to the section where the guys are in the cell.

I put the weight on one plate and stand on the other. The alarm goes off, but the guys are free.

I then rope everyone together and we go down that same hallway to the section where I got the guns - go to the main hallway out the door and to father. (If you use the map and look at all the hallways and bandits while you are still in the original cell - You will be able to see how to get to father. Then when you are the lawmen are on your way out you have an idea of how to go.)

Rope father with the rest and go to the arrow - I then go to the right and pick up the hidden object before leaving.

The only time I stop to fight is when we reach father - or just before - when all the bandits gang up. Other than that I ignore them and keep on walking - they shoot, but we keep on going until we all shoot it out.

If for some reason my time is off and the guards from the far right get into the picture- I restart the quest, because I have not found a way to get past them and the other guard without a shoot out that brings another guard into it.

If you succeed getting to the corner to wait, I would save the game in a special place and then save again when getting the gun - save again when getting the weight - save again after freeing the guys - and so on.

psych_girl88 March 21, 2010 6:06 PM

Hello all,
I need your sage wisdom. I am in Wrong Side and I have built all the buildings, everyone has moved except the woman who wants the tree planted in front of her upgraded house. I keep building potted trees and she says that it's too far away from the house and she won't be able to see it from her front window. I can't build them any closer... any ideas?

How do I get the Trader and Merchant Trophies?
I know that I need to sell 4 and 8 town goods at the same time. I did that on my sandbox mode by selling bake, iron, cheese and the factory goods at the guy who buys them from me. (the guy near the railroad). Also, there are some point that the train struck at the train yard and no trains come again. How can I fix this??? It always stay like this. Plese help.

Zarilynx March 22, 2010 6:47 PM

First I want to thank all the hints and spoilers they were a good resource when I got stuck. I have completed the main game but was unable to find one last artifact, I realized early that I needed to find them in the quests before leaving and restarted game to make sure I had them all, but there was one I missed. I was playing Annie and after loking at all the posts I did not seen any help with the main town locations of the arties. Thanks for any help.

sanfaconbp March 22, 2010 10:01 PM

I've found that if you plant the tree in front of the first upgraded house as soon as possible, she will be happy with it. Once she starts talking it is almost impossible to find the correct spot. I would suggest just keep planting trees in front of all the upgraded houses until she is happy - or start the quest over at a saved spot before she starts talking.
Good luck. I hope this helps.

sanfaconbp March 22, 2010 10:07 PM

Here's the list of the ones in the main town.

Main Town Henry (4) In pit where man is digging | NE behind rock/log | In pen with buffalo | Behind rock by gold mine

Main Town Anne (4) In pit where man is digging | CSW by gold mine behind rock | NW just across river by rock | SW in pen with buffalo

sanfaconbp March 22, 2010 10:13 PM

Do you have the lastest version of the game,
1.004? The train freezing the screen has been a technical problem. If you do not have this version, you should be able to get it from whoever you purchased the game from. They will tell you how to download it.

The goods may have to be sold at the same time in the main game to get the trophy. How the game counts you selling the items is what is highlighted on the train station when you click on it. These items are sold when the train comes. It does not count the items you sell the the guy by the train station.

I hope this helps.

Playing for the 2nd time, as Henry this time. Nice it changes a few things. Question: in Noise Ordinance, is there any way to get into the town? I finished the quest, found the hidden object etc. but it is tantalizing to be locked out of the town. I figure there must be SOME way to get in. Anybody know?
I love this game series!

sanfaconbp March 24, 2010 3:49 PM

I don't know of a way in, but if you find a way in, please let me know. I too would love to go in.

Anyone know anything about "Supply Town"? says to employ the train yard and "complete supply town". Can't figure out where that is.

sanfaconbp March 28, 2010 9:01 AM

Is this within a quest? The train yard is the coal and crane type thing next to the train station. If you hire a person there as well as at the train station, the town receives money every time the train comes to town.

If you look at the quest tab at the top of the screen, it should have what quests you are working on as well as a list of things each quest needs in order to be completed.

If you let us know which quest you are working on, we maybe can remember this part.

I hope this helps.

How do you get the tree trunk building?

sanfaconbp March 29, 2010 12:46 AM

You need 3 upgraded lumber camps. Then a man will come and ask you to bet that he can split a log in one hit.

When he asks that go to the heavy log and carry it to him. Place it in front of him, so that when he hits it - he loses.

Then you will have the log building. When you get that have the hero hit it and they will carve a statue. Have a person skilled in lumber work to also carve a statue, for a different kind of statue.

I hope this answers your question.

Meredith March 29, 2010 5:04 PM

So, I have finished Haverbrook and am nearing the end of the game and want to make sure I have tied up all the loose ends before I sell the town and go to the train contest. I'm already afraid I can't get the train disaster trophy b/c the train has stopped and I apparently haven't had 10 disasters, though it sure seems like it. I currently have 30 of the 36 bones. I also have not figured out what to do with the gray stump in the NW corner nor how to unlock the last secret building (I assume it has something to do with the carving trophy).

So, a) have I missed out on the opportunity to get the train disaster reward? b) Have I found all the bones possibile so far? c) What do I do with the gray stump? d) what was the point of connecting the track at the bottom of the screen and e) How do I unlock the last secret building?

Meredith March 29, 2010 6:25 PM

Figured out the answers to c and e thanks to a previous post that got answered. Just took a while for the page to show the answer to that question I posted. I'm still looking for the answers to a, b, and d, though. :)

sanfaconbp March 29, 2010 6:53 PM

You can get the Train Disaster Award even after the game ends. You can continue to play and will have more opportunities to get those.

I think you have gotten all the bones so far. There are I think 3 at the volcano and 3 at the train race.

Connecting the train track - do you mean to be able to go to the volcano quest? It is in the middle of the map - you can go there anytime during the game once your little guy has come and offered you money to come build a town there.

catherine March 29, 2010 7:55 PM

im suck on ogdenville most of the people have returned to their jobs but i cant figure out how to get rid of the pollution can anyone hlep me thanks

I've beaten the Volcano town, killed the 5 black bears. The only thing I have to finish is the Traders Challenge. I did them early in the game amd completed level 6, but no more appeared on the roof of the Trading Post. I can't finish the game until this last thing is done. Has anyone else run into this?

Meredith March 30, 2010 1:09 AM

Thanks for the help! When I was referring to connecting the train tracks, at the botton of the screen (SW corner) in the main town, there is a train tunnel with a boulder in front of it. I blew up the boulder earlier in the game and built all but one track there (If there was a quest that hadn't been triggered yet, I didn't want to lay the last track). I just tried laying the last track since nothing had happened thus far, but it didn't do anything. I feel like there should be some purpose to it, but haven't figured out what it was.

sanfaconbp March 30, 2010 6:13 AM

Is it the air pollution? If so, there are too many factories. Usually if you will destroy 2 of them - the quest is fulfilled.

Yes, that problem happens sometimes as a small glich in the game. What you do is fire the person working at the Trading Post and then hire him/her back. That should bring the bubble back over the store and allow you to finish the quests.

Yes, this is what opens the opportunity to do the volcano town. It does take a little time sometimes for the guy to come - he comes on a train car thing. He will ask you to come and offer you money. Then you will find the town in the middle of your map.

Thanks for the tip on the trading post. Ok, I have beaten Volcano Valley, Killed the black bears, won all the Trading challenges. Did all the quests (except find Jebediah a job, he quit town before I could make him happy). Found the peas, all the Treasure chests, all the fossils, got the buffalo farm. Does this game have an Ending? Or do you have to win all the trophys (sandbox and all) for the credits to roll. Seems to me the earlier Wetwoods would rolls credits as soon as you won the last challenge/quest even if you did not get the sandbox trophies. So what am I missing? Thanks

Oops never mind, the credits are rolling. I needed to trigger a few more things like the Final Showdown....duh!!!. Great game. need to replay it and get some of the trophys I missed (ala sandbox) and make Jebediah happy. Thanks for the trading post spoiler.
