elleThe Prince EdwardThe Prince Edward is bored and so sets out to play pranks on all the inhabitants of the castle, refusing to go to bed before exploring every room and discovering every contrivance and scenario that can possibly be done in this mini point-and-click puzzle adventure from Black Square.

Join the puckish young prince in his quest for mischief by using keyboard commands, [WASD] or [arrows], to move about and [E] or [K] to interact—searching for and finding not only useful objects to pick up, but fun places where to use them. Prince Edward isn't too incorrigible: you'll also help him find all the broken stained glass window shards and replace them, perfect for fans of hidden object searches as those little pieces are scattered everywhere!

With very little story to go on and many questions left unanswered, gameplay comes down to using the interact function everywhere, on everything, but it's addictively gratifying to see what new award will pop up next. Unfortunately, there's one area worth mentioning right now lest your never realizing it would spoil the experience—something hides behind a portrait but without a clue that the short little prince needs a mean to reach it. That not-very-minor quibble overlooked, a great amount of amusement can be had in discovering everything this castle has to offer while racking up as many trophies and achievements possible. For players who simply love hunting for items in a whimsical environment, The Prince Edward will prove very charming and handsome indeed.

A Good Prince

  1. Follow the beginning instructions and take the crown on the floor of your bedroom.

  2. Open your inventory to see it.

  3. Put the crown on the stand by your bed.

Guttler

  1. Head down to the Kitchen.

  2. Eat one of the pies on the table behind the chef.

The Desire to Eat

  1. Head to the Dining Room.

  2. Take the rightmost chair and drag it right just to the door leading into the Kitchen.

  3. Jump on the chair, then jump up to ring the bell.

Crusher

  1. Head into the Dining Room.

  2. Jump onto one of the tables.

  3. Walk by a candlestick to knock it over.

Sweet-Tooth

  1. Head to the Kitchen in the bottom middle.

  2. Wait until the sous chef is heading into the pantry.

  3. Pick up the cake from the right table.

Beautiful Sounds

  1. Head to the Ballroom in the bottom right.

  2. Just to the right of the middle of the room, play the harp.

Little Musician

  1. Head to the Ballroom in the bottom right.

  2. Go to the right of the middle pillar and play the piano.

Leaper

  1. Head to the Bedroom of the Cook.

  2. Drag the righthand stool into the Hall on the right so it's near the high shelf with a candlestick.

  3. Jump onto the stool, then jump off it toward the shelf to knock over the candlestick.

Bad Boy

  1. Head to the Room of Princess.

  2. Walk over to the crib and wake the baby.

Curiosity

  1. Head to the Lobby in the lower left.

  2. Go outside and to the nearby knight.

  3. Now knock on the armor. (This should also work on the knight outside the lower right lobby.)

Rock Climber

  1. Head to the Lobby in the lower left.

  2. Go outside and head left to the fountain.

  3. Jump to the top tier.

Pilferer

  1. Head to the Room of Princess.

  2. Walk to the crib and wake the baby.

  3. While the nanny is distracted, head into her room.

  4. Steal the knitting off the rocking chair.

Prankster

  1. First, complete Sweet-Tooth and Pilferer.

  2. Head to the Bedroom of the Cook.

  3. Go left into the sous chef's room.

  4. Take the chef's hat off the floor. (If you just completed Sweet-Tooth, you may have to wait until the sous chef makes his way up to his room from the Kitchen.)

  5. Head to the Room of Princess.

  6. Go right to the nanny's room.

  7. Use the chef's hat on the sleeping nanny.

Varmint

  1. Head to the Kitchen on the bottom floor in the middle.

  2. Talk to the chef to receive a green apple.

  3. Now head to the Billiard Room.

  4. Go the the rack of balls and place the green apple on it. (You will first collect the billiard ball if you hadn't before.)

  1. Head to the Veranda on the top floor to the far left.

  2. Go outside and talk to the king until he walks away from you (three times).

  3. Collect the key off the left table.

  4. Head to the Hall next to the Library.

  5. Go right and unlock the door.

  6. Inside the Room of the King, collect a log off the pile by the fireplace.

  7. Use the log on the fireplace.

Trendy

  1. Head to the Lobby in the lower left.

  2. Collect the hat on the table.

  3. Now head to one of the mirrors (for example on the far right in the Ballroom).

  4. Interact with the mirror to try the hat on.

Stop Time

  1. Head to the Billiard Room.

  2. Open the door on the grandfather clock to stop the pendulum.

Sniper

  1. If you've already completed Varmint, you should have the billiard ball in your inventory. If not:

    1. Head to the Billiard Room.

    2. Collect a billiard ball off the rack on the wall.

  2. Head to the Billiard Room.

  3. Interact with the pool table to throw the billiard ball into the pocket.

Researcher

  1. If you haven't completed Became Warmer:

    1. Head to the Veranda on the top floor to the left.

    2. Go outside and talk to the king until he walks away from you (three times).

    3. Collect the key off the left table.

    4. Head to the Hall next to the Library.

    5. Go right and unlock the door.

  2. Head to the Room of the King.

  3. Now go to the desk to the right.

  4. Collect the blue book off the desk.

  5. Head to the Library to the left of you.

  6. Use the blue book on the far right bookcase.

Fear of the Dark

  1. Head to the Lobby in the lower left.

  2. Go downstairs into the basement.

  3. Drag the nearby stool to the right so it's under a lantern.

  4. Jump on the stool and grab the lantern (which of the four you can take is randomized). (Once you've removed the correct lantern, you will not have to use the stool to get it again.)

Junior Guard

  1. Complete Fear of the Dark.

  2. Head to the Bedroom of the Butler.

  3. Collect the key on the stand by the bed.

  4. Now head to the Lobby in the lower left.

  5. Go downstairs to the basement.

  6. Use the key on the lock to the left.

  7. Pick up the lantern you previously grabbed to the right and walk into the dark room with it.

  8. Put on the helmet in the dark room.

Young Warrior

  1. Complete Researcher and Fear of the Dark.

  2. Head into the Library, then into the secret room.

  3. Collect the sword on the far right.

  4. Now head to the Lobby in the lower left.

  5. Go downstairs to the basement.

  6. Pick up the lantern you previously grabbed and walk into the dark room.

  7. Put on the helmet in the dark room.

Javelin Thrower

  1. Head to the Billiard Room.

  2. Collect a cue stick off the rack to the left of the pool table.

  3. Now head into either the Artist's Room or Bedroom to the far right.

  4. Walk outside to the balcony.

  5. Interact with the balcony to throw the cue stick.

Foodie

  1. Head to the Bedroom on the middle floor to the far right.

  2. Open the cabinet and collect the flask.

  3. Now head to the Lobby in the lower left.

  4. Go downstairs to the basement.

  5. Fill the flask at the Chandon barrel.

Jump on Each Bed

  1. Head to the Bedroom of the Cook and jump on the chef's bed.

  2. Now head to the Bedroom of the Maid and jump on both beds there.

  3. Head to the Bedroom of the Butler and jump on his bed.

  4. Now head to the Prince's Room and jump on your bed.

  5. Head to the Bedchamber and jump on the queen's bed.

  6. Now head to the Bedroom to the far right and jump on that bed.

  7. Finally, head to the Artist's Room and jump on that bed.

Yummy

  1. First, you must complete Sweet-Tooth.

  2. Head to the kitchen on the bottom floor in the middle.

  3. Go right into the pantry.

  4. Collect a potato from the sack.

Perseverance

  1. Complete Coins for the Lion.

  2. Head to the Throne Hall.

  3. Walk to the panel that opened by the lion statue.

  4. Interact with it until you collect the scepter.

Glorious Music

  1. Head to the Bedroom of the Maid.

  2. Collect the violin bow at the head of the righthand bed.

  3. Now head to the Ballroom.

  4. Use the bow on the violin by the rightmost couch.

Miracle in the Mask

  1. Head to the Bedroom to the far right.

  2. Jump on the bed and collect the mask.

  3. Now head to the Ballroom Balcony.

  4. Interact with the maid.

Mystery of Ancestors

  3. Drag the stool to the right into the Hall until underneath the picture of the king (middle of five).

  4. Jump on the stool and move the painting, then collect the key.

  • A GOOD PRINCE: Place the crown on the pillow in Edward�s room.

  • GUTTLER: Take a steaming pastry from the kitchen.

  • THE DESIRE TO EAT: Drag a chair to the kitchen entrance and jump to hit the bell above the door.

  • CRUSHER: Knock over the candlesticks on the tables in the dining room.

  • SWEET TOOTH: When the second cook turns his back to you, race forward and take the cake.

  • BEAUTIFUL SOUNDS: Play the harp in the ballroom.

  • LITTLE MUSICIAN: Play the piano in the ballroom.

  • LEAPER: Drag a chair to the hall between the cook and butler�s bedroom. Use it to jump and knock down the candlestick on the tall pedestal.

  • BECAME WARMER: Take a fire log from the pile in the king�s room. Put it into the fireplace.

  • TRENDY: Take the purple hat from the western lobby. Look into any mirror in the mansion to try it on.

  • STOP TIME: In the Billiard room, stop the grandfather clock.

  • SNIPER: In the Billiard room, take a pool ball from the holder and toss it onto the pool table.

  • RESEARCHER: Take the blue book from the king�s room. Bring it to the library and place it on a shelf with other blue books. This will open a door to a secret room.

  • FEAR OF THE DARK: Drag a chair to one of the hanging lanterns in the basement. One of them will be removable (you can access the basement from the western lobby)

  • JUNIOR GUARD: Bring the lantern into the downstairs armory (see FEAR OF THE DARK) and take the helmet in the middle of the room.

  • YOUNG WARRIOR: Take the sword from the secret room and go to the downstairs armory. Put on the helmet (see JUNIOR GUARD) and swing the sword around.

  • JAVELIN THROWER: Take a pool cue from the billiard room. Go to any of the balconies located on the eastern end of the mansion and throw it off the edge.

  • FOODIE: Take the jar from the bedroom above the eastern lobby (found in the wardrobe). Go to the basement and fill it with liquor from one of the kegs.

  • JUMP ON EACH BED: Jump on every bed in the mansion. Duh.

  • YUMMY: Take a potato from the far end of the kitchen. Bring it to the dining room and place it on any of the fruit piles on the tables.

  • PUPIL: Take the chalk beside the blackboard in the classroom. Use it on the blackboard.

  • FEED THE KITTY: Take a fish from the far end of the kitchen. Bring it to the cook�s bedroom and place it in the cat�s dish.

  • COLLECT STAINED: Collect all the missing pieces of the stain glass. Bring them to the throne room and use them on the broken window.

  • DISORDER: In the classroom, knock over the books in the shelf.

  • THIRST FOR KNOWLEDGE: After knocking over the books in the classroom (see DISORDER), pick up the valve hiding behind them. Take it to the star room and place it on the telescope.

  • TIME ON THE CONTRARY: Turn over the hourglass in the bedroom above the eastern lobby.

  • STROLL: Take the bell from the king�s room. Bring it to the floor above the eastern lobby and place it on the table. Ring it and then immediately descend the stairs as the butler goes to investigate. This will give you access to the eastern yard.

  • EMANCIPATOR: In the secret room (see RESEARCHER), release the caged butterflies.

  • COINS FOR THE LION: Knock over the golden jar in the king�s room and collect the coins that drop out. Go to the throne room and drag a chair over to the stone lion. Place the coins in the statue to open a secret compartment with the king�s scepter.

  • PERSEVERANCE: After opening the secret compartment (see COINS FOR THE LION), inspect the scepter a few times until Edward takes it.

  • GLORIOUS MUSIC: Take the violin bow from the maid�s bedroom. Bring it to the ballroom and play the violin.

  • MIRACLE IN THE MASK: Take the mask hanging in the bedroom above the eastern lobby. Bring it to the ballroom balcony with the pacing maid, sneak behind her, and put it on to scare her.

  • MYSTERY OF THE ANCESTORS: Open the chest in the secret room (see RESEARCHER) and take the magic stone. Bring the stone to the eastern yard (see STROLL) and place it in the frog statue.

  • I LOVE TO DRAW: Take the paints from the chef�s bedroom. Bring them to the artist�s room and use them on the center painting.

  • BAR WITH A SECRET: Take the champagne bottle from the ballroom. Go to the library and open up the globe. Place the bottle inside of it.

  • APE: Look at your reflection in any of the mansion�s mirrors.

Key Locations

  • CHEST KEY: In the bedchamber. You have to wait until the queen�s back is turned before you can take it.

  • ARMORY KEY: In the butler�s bedroom.

  • KING�S ROOM KEY: In the veranda. You have to talk to the king a few times for him to move before you can take it.

  • SECRET CHEST KEY: In the hall outside of Edward�s room. Drag a chair to the portrait of Edward�s father and look behind it.

Trophy Locations

  • READING TROPHY: In the library on the furthest shelf. You�ll have to drag the ladder over to reach it.

  • CARE TROPHY: In the western yard, hidden in the tall fountain. Inspect the bottom level to find it.

  • ACCURACY TROPHY: In the hall beside the artist�s room. You have to knock it down with the bust statue you find in the hall beside the star room.

  • CURIOSITY TROPHY: In the billiard room. Inspect the sofa to find it behind one of the pillows.

  • LOST TROPHY: In the basement. Inspect the old vase.

  • AGILITY TROPHY: In the bedchamber. Open the chest with the key you find in the same room.

I'm missing two achievements - the one next to the very first one you get and the third one on the left column of the first page. Does one perhaps have something do do with

The one next to the first one:

It's called Leaper, and I don't remember exactly how I got it, but the picture is a toppling table and candlestick, so I think it involves jumping from other platforms to reach a candlestick you normally couldn't reach.

I'm stuck myself. I have:

A call bell, chef's hat, chalk and rag, sword, and statuette. I figure the bell is used to distract the butler so I can go outside, but I can't figure out how.

@Regy: No, the horseshoe doesn't seem to play a part.
For the first one on the right column:

Knock over ALL the candlesticks, and maybe jump on everything? The achievement is called "Leaper"

For the third one on the left column:

Move the chair in from the dining room and ring the bell above the kitchen door.

I haven't been able to find the Flag trophy, but since they don't seem to matter, I let it slide.

dark room.

Try finding a use for the stool in the cellar.

The stool allows you to reach one of the lanterns by the big kegs in the wall.

For the statuette,

look for a hall with a gold item up on a high shelf. I don't remember exactly which hall it was or I'd say so.

I'm going to assume I used the statuette already and didn't remember, since I have now finished with 102% with it still in my inventory. (Is this a calculation error, or are there bonus achievements not listed?). Overall it was pretty fun and nicely made, though I found walking on stairs to be a little wonky at times, like I would stop moving even though I'm still pressing the arrow keys. I also found a glitch where I got the fanfare and animation for the cake achievement twice by interacting with the table again, even though the cake was no longer there.

Drag the green stool (from the cook's room) under the platform between the cook's room and the butler's room, jump on the stool and then the platform in order to make the chandelier fall.

The walkthrough below is not step-by-step (as this game is very non-linear), but instead a list of how to earn the Achievements and where to find the Trophies.
Achievements

A Good Prince

  1. Follow the beginning instructions and take the crown on the floor of your bedroom.

  2. Open your inventory to see it.

  3. Put the crown on the stand by your bed.

Guttler

  1. Head down to the Kitchen.

  2. Eat one of the pies on the table behind the chef.

The Desire to Eat

  1. Head to the Dining Room.

  2. Take the rightmost chair and drag it right just to the door leading into the Kitchen.

  3. Jump on the chair, then jump up to ring the bell.

Crusher

  1. Head into the Dining Room.

  2. Jump onto one of the tables.

  3. Walk by a candlestick to knock it over.

Sweet-Tooth

  1. Head to the Kitchen in the bottom middle.

  2. Wait until the sous chef is heading into the pantry.

  3. Pick up the cake from the right table.

Beautiful Sounds

  1. Head to the Ballroom in the bottom right.

  2. Just to the right of the middle of the room, play the harp.

Little Musician

  1. Head to the Ballroom in the bottom right.

  2. Go to the right of the middle pillar and play the piano.

Leaper

  1. Head to the Bedroom of the Cook.

  2. Drag the righthand stool into the Hall on the right so it's near the high shelf with a candlestick.

  3. Jump onto the stool, then jump off it toward the shelf to knock over the candlestick.

Bad Boy

  1. Head to the Room of Princess.

  2. Walk over to the crib and wake the baby.

Curiosity

  1. Head to the Lobby in the lower left.

  2. Go outside and to the nearby knight.

  3. Now knock on the armor. (This should also work on the knight outside the lower right lobby.)

Rock Climber

  1. Head to the Lobby in the lower left.

  2. Go outside and head left to the fountain.

  3. Jump to the top tier.

Pilferer

  1. Head to the Room of Princess.

  2. Walk to the crib and wake the baby.

  3. While the nanny is distracted, head into her room.

  4. Steal the knitting off the rocking chair.

Prankster

  1. First, complete Sweet-Tooth and Pilferer.

  2. Head to the Bedroom of the Cook.

  3. Go left into the sous chef's room.

  4. Take the chef's hat off the floor. (If you just completed Sweet-Tooth, you may have to wait until the sous chef makes his way up to his room from the Kitchen.)

  5. Head to the Room of Princess.

  6. Go right to the nanny's room.

  7. Use the chef's hat on the sleeping nanny.

Varmint

  1. Head to the Kitchen on the bottom floor in the middle.

  2. Talk to the chef to receive a green apple.

  3. Now head to the Billiard Room.

  4. Go the the rack of balls and place the green apple on it. (You will first collect the billiard ball if you hadn't before.)

Became Warmer

  1. Head to the Veranda on the top floor to the far left.

  2. Go outside and talk to the king until he walks away from you (three times).

  3. Collect the key off the left table.

  4. Head to the Hall next to the Library.

  5. Go right and unlock the door.

  6. Inside the Room of the King, collect a log off the pile by the fireplace.

  7. Use the log on the fireplace.

Trendy

  1. Head to the Lobby in the lower left.

  2. Collect the hat on the table.

  3. Now head to one of the mirrors (for example on the far right in the Ballroom).

  4. Interact with the mirror to try the hat on.

Stop Time

  1. Head to the Billiard Room.

  2. Open the door on the grandfather clock to stop the pendulum.

Sniper

  1. If you've already completed Varmint, you should have the billiard ball in your inventory. If not:

    1. Head to the Billiard Room.

    2. Collect a billiard ball off the rack on the wall.

  2. Head to the Billiard Room.

  3. Interact with the pool table to throw the billiard ball into the pocket.

Researcher

  1. If you haven't completed Became Warmer:

    1. Head to the Veranda on the top floor to the left.

    2. Go outside and talk to the king until he walks away from you (three times).

    3. Collect the key off the left table.

    4. Head to the Hall next to the Library.

    5. Go right and unlock the door.

  2. Head to the Room of the King.

  3. Now go to the desk to the right.

  4. Collect the blue book off the desk.

  5. Head to the Library to the left of you.

  6. Use the blue book on the far right bookcase.

Fear of the Dark

  1. Head to the Lobby in the lower left.

  2. Go downstairs into the basement.

  3. Drag the nearby stool to the right so it's under a lantern.

  4. Jump on the stool and grab the lantern (which of the four you can take is randomized). (Once you've removed the correct lantern, you will not have to use the stool to get it again.)

Junior Guard

  1. Complete Fear of the Dark.

  2. Head to the Bedroom of the Butler.

  3. Collect the key on the stand by the bed.

  4. Now head to the Lobby in the lower left.

  5. Go downstairs to the basement.

  6. Use the key on the lock to the left.

  7. Pick up the lantern you previously grabbed to the right and walk into the dark room with it.

  8. Put on the helmet in the dark room.

Young Warrior

  1. Complete Researcher and Fear of the Dark.

  2. Head into the Library, then into the secret room.

  3. Collect the sword on the far right.

  4. Now head to the Lobby in the lower left.

  5. Go downstairs to the basement.

  6. Pick up the lantern you previously grabbed and walk into the dark room.

  7. Put on the helmet in the dark room.

Javelin Thrower

  1. Head to the Billiard Room.

  2. Collect a cue stick off the rack to the left of the pool table.

  3. Now head into either the Artist's Room or Bedroom to the far right.

  4. Walk outside to the balcony.

  5. Interact with the balcony to throw the cue stick.

Foodie

  1. Head to the Bedroom on the middle floor to the far right.

  2. Open the cabinet and collect the flask.

  3. Now head to the Lobby in the lower left.

  4. Go downstairs to the basement.

  5. Fill the flask at the Chandon barrel.

Jump on Each Bed

  1. Head to the Bedroom of the Cook and jump on the chef's bed.

  2. Now head to the Bedroom of the Maid and jump on both beds there.

  3. Head to the Bedroom of the Butler and jump on his bed.

  4. Now head to the Prince's Room and jump on your bed.

  5. Head to the Bedchamber and jump on the queen's bed.

  6. Now head to the Bedroom to the far right and jump on that bed.

  1. First, you must complete Sweet-Tooth.

  2. Head to the Prince's Room.

  3. Drag the stool to the right into the Hall until underneath the picture of the king (middle of five).

  4. Jump on the stool and move the painting, then collect the key.

  5. Head to the Library and into the secret room.

  6. Open the chest to collect the stone.

  7. Now head to the Lobby in the lower right.

  8. Go outside and interact with the frog statue to the far right.

I Love to Draw

  1. Head to the Bedroom of the Cook.

  2. Go left into the sous chef's room.

  3. Collect the paint supplies off the stand.

  4. Head into the Artist's Room.

  5. Interact with the painting on the easel.

Bar with a Secret

  1. Head into the Ballroom.

  2. Jump onto the table in the far left.

  3. Collect the bottle of champagne.

  4. Head to the Library.

  5. Open the globe, then use the champagne.

Ape

  1. Head to any of the mirrors (for example, the one in the secret room).

  2. Interact with the mirror.

Trophy Locations

Lost Trophy

  1. Head to the Lobby in the lower left.

  2. Go downstairs into the basement.

  3. Move the vase by the case to the far right.

The Trophy for the Accuracy

  1. Head to the Hall by the Bedchamber.

  2. Collect the bust on the table.

  3. Now head to the Hall outside the Artist's Room.

  4. Interact with the high shelf to receive the trophy.

The Trophy for the Car

  1. Head to the Lobby in the lower left.

  2. Go outside and head left to the fountain.

  3. Search while standing on the bottom tier.

Trophy for Agility

  1. Head to the Bedchamber.

  2. While the queen is facing right, collect the key off the vanity.

  3. Now while the queen is facing left, use the key on the chest.

Trophy for the Love of Books

  1. Head to the Library.

  2. Drag the ladder to the far left to the left-most bookcase.

  3. Jump onto the ladder and collect the trophy on the second-to-top shelf.

Trophy for Curiosity

  1. Head to the Billiard Room.

  2. Go left to the couch.

  3. Move the left cushion to reveal the trophy.

having a problem with

the beds. i'm to jump on several bedsw in the castle and 1 says "go to prince's bedroom and jumpo on your bed" when i do i say "i don't want to go to sleep" then the one after tha6t says "Bedchamber and jump on the bed" but when i do that one, he just shrugs as if he does not know what to do.

Paul, to jump on beds,

use the up arrow (or W).

I don't know if it's just my system or what, but this game was slooooow as molasses for me. Going up stairs was positively painful; I swear the kid was moving in slow motion.

Forgot to mention, apart from the slowness, my main quibble with this game was an enormous missed opportunity:

what sort of mischievous kid is this, anyway, if he doesn't slide down a single banister?

on one piece of glass i am to go the lobby bottom right, bu6t a butler dude is there and my charachter won't go further because app-arently "i'm not allowed to go outside at night" what do i do?

@Paul: Look in the walkthroughs for the "Stroll" achievement (look under page 3). That will tell you how to get outside.

@krt: I thought I might've made a mistake like that somewhere. Could a mod fix that in the walkthrough, please?

@Paul: Make sure you use the map to find unlabeled areas you haven't been to yet. Remember you can also warp to labeled areas you have been.

The Star's Room is on the top floor. Go upstairs from the Ballroom Balcony and turn left. It's a small room accessible from the hall to the left of the Bedchamber.

yeah i finally found it. wish it was easier to get to unmarked areas, especially early on, because not many areas are unlocked at first. but amyway, i liked the game regardless.

I've been trying to get

the key from the queen's vanity table.

But...

whichever way the queen is facing, when I press 'e' or 'k', the prince just shrugs at me.

What am I doing wrong?

Jennifer - That's odd, it may be a bug. If you try to grab the key when the queen is too close or facing you, Edward should say something like 'No, Mom can see me'. He only shrugs after the key is already collected.

  • A GOOD PRINCE: Place the crown on the pillow in Edward�s room.

  • GUTTLER: Take a steaming pastry from the kitchen.

  • THE DESIRE TO EAT: Drag a chair to the kitchen entrance and jump to hit the bell above the door.

  • CRUSHER: Knock over the candlesticks on the tables in the dining room.

  • SWEET TOOTH: When the second cook turns his back to you, race forward and take the cake.

  • BEAUTIFUL SOUNDS: Play the harp in the ballroom.

  • LITTLE MUSICIAN: Play the piano in the ballroom.

  • LEAPER: Drag a chair to the hall between the cook and butler�s bedroom. Use it to jump and knock down the candlestick on the tall pedestal.

  • BAD BOY: Inspect the crib in the baby room and make the baby cry.

  • CURIOSITY: Knock on a suit of armor (in either of the outside yards)

  • ROCK CLIMBER: In the western yard, jump on each level of the tall fountain.

  • BECAME WARMER: Take a fire log from the pile in the king�s room. Put it into the fireplace.

  • TRENDY: Take the purple hat from the western lobby. Look into any mirror in the mansion to try it on.

  • STOP TIME: In the Billiard room, stop the grandfather clock.

  • SNIPER: In the Billiard room, take a pool ball from the holder and toss it onto the pool table.

  • RESEARCHER: Take the blue book from the king�s room. Bring it to the library and place it on a shelf with other blue books. This will open a door to a secret room.

  • FEAR OF THE DARK: Drag a chair to one of the hanging lanterns in the basement. One of them will be removable (you can access the basement from the western lobby)

  • JUNIOR GUARD: Bring the lantern into the downstairs armory (see FEAR OF THE DARK) and take the helmet in the middle of the room.

  • YOUNG WARRIOR: Take the sword from the secret room and go to the downstairs armory. Put on the helmet (see JUNIOR GUARD) and swing the sword around.

  • JAVELIN THROWER: Take a pool cue from the billiard room. Go to any of the balconies located on the eastern end of the mansion and throw it off the edge.

  • FOODIE: Take the jar from the bedroom above the eastern lobby (found in the wardrobe). Go to the basement and fill it with liquor from one of the kegs.

  • JUMP ON EACH BED: Jump on every bed in the mansion. Duh.

  • YUMMY: Take a potato from the far end of the kitchen. Bring it to the dining room and place it on any of the fruit piles on the tables.

  • PUPIL: Take the chalk beside the blackboard in the classroom. Use it on the blackboard.

  • FEED THE KITTY: Take a fish from the far end of the kitchen. Bring it to the cook�s bedroom and place it in the cat�s dish.

  • COLLECT STAINED: Collect all the missing pieces of the stain glass. Bring them to the throne room and use them on the broken window.

  • DISORDER: In the classroom, knock over the books in the shelf.

  • THIRST FOR KNOWLEDGE: After knocking over the books in the classroom (see DISORDER), pick up the valve hiding behind them. Take it to the star room and place it on the telescope.

  • TIME ON THE CONTRARY: Turn over the hourglass in the bedroom above the eastern lobby.

  • STROLL: Take the bell from the king�s room. Bring it to the floor above the eastern lobby and place it on the table. Ring it and then immediately descend the stairs as the butler goes to investigate. This will give you access to the eastern yard.

  • EMANCIPATOR: In the secret room (see RESEARCHER), release the caged butterflies.

  • COINS FOR THE LION: Knock over the golden jar in the king�s room and collect the coins that drop out. Go to the throne room and drag a chair over to the stone lion. Place the coins in the statue to open a secret compartment with the king�s scepter.

  • PERSEVERANCE: After opening the secret compartment (see COINS FOR THE LION), inspect the scepter a few times until Edward takes it.

  • GLORIOUS MUSIC: Take the violin bow from the maid�s bedroom. Bring it to the ballroom and play the violin.

  • MIRACLE IN THE MASK: Take the mask hanging in the bedroom above the eastern lobby. Bring it to the ballroom balcony with the pacing maid, sneak behind her, and put it on to scare her.

  • MYSTERY OF THE ANCESTORS: Open the chest in the secret room (see RESEARCHER) and take the magic stone. Bring the stone to the eastern yard (see STROLL) and place it in the frog statue.

  • I LOVE TO DRAW: Take the paints from the chef�s bedroom. Bring them to the artist�s room and use them on the center painting.

  • BAR WITH A SECRET: Take the champagne bottle from the ballroom. Go to the library and open up the globe. Place the bottle inside of it.

  • APE: Look at your reflection in any of the mansion�s mirrors.

Key Locations

  • CHEST KEY: In the bedchamber. You have to wait until the queen�s back is turned before you can take it.

  • ARMORY KEY: In the butler�s bedroom.

  • KING�S ROOM KEY: In the veranda. You have to talk to the king a few times for him to move before you can take it.

  • SECRET CHEST KEY: In the hall outside of Edward�s room. Drag a chair to the portrait of Edward�s father and look behind it.

Trophy Locations

  • READING TROPHY: In the library on the furthest shelf. You�ll have to drag the ladder over to reach it.

  • CARE TROPHY: In the western yard, hidden in the tall fountain. Inspect the bottom level to find it.

  • ACCURACY TROPHY: In the hall beside the artist�s room. You have to knock it down with the bust statue you find in the hall beside the star room.

  • CURIOSITY TROPHY: In the billiard room. Inspect the sofa to find it behind one of the pillows.

  • LOST TROPHY: In the basement. Inspect the old vase.

  • AGILITY TROPHY: In the bedchamber. Open the chest with the key you find in the same room.

Glass Shard Locations

  1. Library: On one of the shelves. Needs a ladder to be reached

  2. Dining Room: On the floor, in front of the left table

  3. Maid�s Bedroom: On the floor by the left bed

  4. Throne Room: On the floor beside the broken window

  5. Western Yard: On the ground beside the left bench

  6. Hall (beside the Classroom): On the floor near the stairs

  7. Bedchamber: Inside the wardrobe

  8. Eastern Yard: On the ground between the first two benches

  9. Secret Room: On the floor near the chest

When I went through the castle I ended up outside and now it won't let me do anything. Not even click the menu buttons at the top. Anyone else have this problem?

To find the final shard of glass:

You need to distract the butler in the right most lobby. To do this, find the butlers bell and put it on the small wooden table just above him. Pick it up again to ring it. Then walk out of the front door and the glass shard is on the floor.
