Viewpoint - A Game of Perspective
It has been said that everything in life is a matter of perspective; that everything is a matter of
viewpoint. Well, in the new game by Bryce Summer, Viewpoint - A Game of Perspective, viewpoint is the main thing that matters. What does that mean, and how changing my viewpoint can help me beat levels in a platform game? That's a good question. Stay tuned.
So, in this simple game, all you need to do is to walk your character, the white cube, to the green cube, using your arrow keys. Sounds simple enough, isn't it? Well, it isn't, because the green cube isn't on your platform. So you'll probably try to jump (it usually works in platform games), but, as a cube, you can't jump. The solution to this problem is very simple. If you'll press [shift] and an arrow key, or drag the screen with your mouse, you can change your viewpoint on the level! This is very helpful, because every map is not 2-dimensional, but 3-dimensional. Rotating the map and aligning the platforms in it differently is the key to beating the game here.
I find this concept pretty refreshing. It has been a while since I saw an interesting concept in a platform game like this. It takes some time to find the right viewpoint for each level, but the exploration is quite enjoying. And don't worry, because it gets really complicated, as impassable blocks, teleportation blocks, switches, etc. are tossed in.
The graphics are simple and very precise. This is a common thing in games like this, which put their game mechanics in the front, and the result is great. The screen contains only the level itself, and the necessary buttons (reset and level select). It puts each puzzle in the front, and helps to get into the game. The soundtrack is simple and nice, and helps to get into the game as well.
All in all, this is one refreshing puzzle and platform game. And don't forget, if life looks complicated, maybe all you need is just to change your viewpoint!

fun game. bit confusing at times but ok. Hit lvl 16 and got stuck. I can't see how to complete it at all.

Ah! I need to check what happens. Thanks Jon for pointing it out.
Genuinely thought this was an elaborate trick. The first time I played- low graphics, sound off - the arrow keys just changed perspective. Reloaded and it works fine.
The link to the Google Play store doesn't work, is the game gone from it?
