Noir Syndrome Detective work isn't known for its shallow learning curve. Or for being the kind of thing you can do while standing in line at the post office. With Noir Syndrome, however, solving crimes has become quite a bit more casual. This pick up and play adventure game gives you randomly generated murder mysteries to solve, all you have to do is gather the clues and make the arrest! Oh, and pick a few locks, shoot a few baddies, and have a few snacks. Detectives gotta eat too, you know.

Goat Simulator Finally, a game which answers the age-old question, "what would it be like to be a goat?" This is Goat Simulator, the action sandbox game which parodies infamously "realistic" simulation games. Headbutt cars, do flips on trampolines or bleat at unsuspecting pedestrians... you can do it all!

Nunchuck Charlie Don't ever let anything come between you and the ones you love. Not even an eight foot pigeon. Mash your way through colourful and quirky stages in this action-packed game that's bizarre, but a whole lot of fun.

Monkey GO Happy Tales Some words to the wise: do not trust your little ones to Pencil Kids' band of sad simians for safe keeping as they can't stop losing their own monkey babies. Which means you get to go on another point-and-click adventure, this time in the form of five short, self-contained tales. By exploring each stage, finding and using items, and solving a few simple puzzles, you can rescue the mini monkeys and turn tears into cheers.

Warlords: Epic Conflict You've always known you were the biggest and baddest around, and now it's time to prove it in the latest installment of Ben Olding's popular strategy game that will have you duking it out for strategic supremacy against the computer... or other players!

Sokoboom 2 Who needs bells and whistles? Not this little puzzle game. Though more of the same straightforward Sokoban as the original, this sequel keeps the presentation sleek and simple and the levels challenging to make it a satisfying and welcome little addition to the genre.

Level Editor 3 What's better than a puzzle platformer? A puzzle platformer which lets you build the levels yourself! In Level Editor 3, the developer started making them, then went out for a lunch break and was never seen again. That means you will have to place all the additional platforms, each with their own functions, so that a little stick man can reach the end of the level. Level Editor 3 is certainly the best episode in the series so far, offering thirty-five wonderfully puzzly stages for your entertainment.

Cover Color Game The concept is basic and simple. Replicate the multi-color pattern shown by clicking and dragging a minimum number of one-colored designs onto the grid. When your design matches the one provided, that's perfect! Now you can move on to complete the 99 other levels. Cover Color most closely resembles Factory Balls, albeit without the balls, paint or whimsy. Its unassuming graphics and gameplay won't catch all eyes, but if you're looking for a game to chill with, that engages the brain just enough without taxing, this is what hits the spot.

JayIs2048 Since there's never been a bandwagon Tricky hasn't jumped on, he presents to you JayIs2048, a tribute to UsVsTh3m's Make Your Own 2048 generator, a tribute to Gabriele Cirulli's MIT-licensed 2048, a tribute to 1024 by Veewo Studio, a tribute to Threes by Asher Vollmer, which, of course was a tribute to the postulate that small stuff can be combined bigger stuff. There's a whole lot of tributin' going on, is what we're saying.

Somnium: Exodus You awake sore and amnesiac in a hospital... but the place is deserted. Notes from a stranger lead you on a bizarre journey through a town that has more than its share of secrets in this creative and ambitious action RPG adventure that blends existential horror with a science-fiction thriller.

Cadence Compose an eternal melody by joining music nodes together in an arrangement with no beginning or end in this sleek abstract three-dimensional music puzzle. Gobble Rush! Lovers of simple and smart puzzle design should look no further than this strangely charming turn-based puzzle game that has you navigating rooms filled with deadly... uh... whatever those are that will charge you whenever you enter their line of sight.

Windforge Windforge is going to blow your mind. On the surface it sounds like a garden variety Terraria or Minecraft clone with a steampunk coat of paint. Spend an hour with the game and you'll realize it's so very much more than that. Windforge is a sidescrolling role playing game that lets you build and fly an airship and craft tons of items, weapons and parts. Everything in the environment is destructible, giving you a tremendous sense of freedom and making just about every other exploration game look restrictive by comparison.

A Ghostly Journey You're dead! But that's not bad news. In this puzzle platformer, you're even sorta used to it, but now after a few years of haunting your cemetery, you're starting to get that ghostly itch to see what lies beyond the gates. A challenging and unforgiving game that offers a clever possession mechanic to navigate through stages with different people, and other... things.

Mini Metro (Alpha) Think you can make the trains run on time? Well, Mini Metro, a strategy simulation from Dino Polo Club gives you the chance to do just that! Forbidden Arms Are you strong enough to wield a demonic weapon without giving in to its powers? In Forbidden Arms, you will play a master assassin who overcomes challenge after challenge by piling his enemies onto a bloody heap. With a number of special abilities and a ton of upgrades for your hellish sword, you're starting to think that crossing over to the dark side isn't half as bad as it's made out to be.

Cube and Star: An Arbitrary Love Cube & Star: An Arbitrary Love is the kind of game you fire up when you know you want to play something but aren't quite sure what you're in the mood for. The delightfully abstract experience from Doppler Interactive puts you in a gray world and says "now go out and do stuff". That "stuff" involves bumping into trees, painting the ground different colors, knocking corners with other shapes, collecting some of the many strange items hidden throughout the environment, and just generally rolling around to see what you can see. Somehow, it's bizarrely entertaining.

Goat Guardian Goat Guardian is a platform puzzle game that stars Steven and his pet goat, Steven Jr.! Steven Jr. likes to climb to dangerous places, so Steven has to run out and and rescue him. It's a well-made and attractive game with a good set of stages that are just the right balance of reflexes and puzzle solving.

Social Caterpillar Social Caterpillar is a refreshingly original game about introversion, and goes about demonstrating what it's like by modelling the game's mechanics from it. Conversations with other characters take on the look and feel of an old-school RPG battle, but instead of attacking you're presented with some bizarre shape pattern or geometrical design and must use the [arrows] to navigate the conversation by choosing the appropriate shape or pattern in response.

Threes: The Demake Threes: The Demake is a clever simplification of Asher Vollmer and Greg Wohlwend's iOS puzzle game Threes!. Created by Benjamin Davis, this demake contains the basic tile sliding/combining mechanics found in its big brother. The board is filled with white, red and blue tiles. Tapping the [arrow] keys lets you slide everything in that direction, smashing red/blue tiles and identical white tiles together to increase their face value, marked by darker blocks at the top. The goal is to keep combining tiles to create as many massive numbers as possible!

StoryShift Less a game and more a community-driven storytelling experiment, this collection of tales and comics from different authors and artists covers everything from serious sci-fi to epic fantasy, and even humour. The catch? You get to vote on how each new installment of the stories you're reading will go.

Earth Taken 2 In Earth Taken 2, an action platformer by SeethingSwarm, you are a survivor, trying desperately to shoot through the hordes of aliens who've turned the world toxic. So a lot like the first Earth Taken, then. Jocularity aside, though, while there's a lot that's the same, gameplay has also been refined, making this the sci-fi horror game the original could and should have been.

Plexus Valentine's Day 2014 Plexus serves up some sweet seasonal puzzling with this Valentine's Day themed jigsaw.
